Biography
Chris is a chartered RIBA architect and a former director of an established Manchester and Yorkshire based architectural practice.
Having studied at Manchester’s School of Architecture and Leeds University, Chris qualified as an Architect in 2012. The majority of Chris’ professional life to date has been spent at MHA Architects, where he progressed through the practice initially in Manchester before being promoted to a lead role at the company’s Sheffield office. This progression continued through to directorship at an early stage before leaving to progress his career with Oak and Prosper.
A vast array of experiences have been presented to Chris through the course of his career, including architectural and project management roles across leisure, healthcare and commercial projects, yet Chris’ primary expertise is within the residential sector. This knowledge and proficiency has been developed through close working with a range of disciplines including main contractors, developer clients, registered providers, plc housebuilders and numerous supporting consultants. Primarily involved at the conception of projects, Chris has the ability to maximise development opportunities, whilst ensuring a compliant and successful scheme is proposed alongside statutory authorities. Over the past 4 years, Chris has been responsible for securing Planning approvals for over 1,000 new homes nationwide, alongside multiple Local Authorities.
This design expertise is brought to Oak and Prosper and will be incorporated into all developments progressed.
