The White Hart has been established within Barnby Dun for over a century. During this time the building has provided numerous functions to the community, including a local public house and food restaurant. Upkeep on the property was not maintained and due to the economic climate at the time, the businesses were unable to continue.
The building was seen as a prime opportunity to breathe life into the village through an exciting renovation, providing a new bar and eatery to the area, along with bespoke office accommodation and residential unit.
The refurbishment work has drastically changed the feel and appearance within the building, with the ground floor fundamentally redesigned to generate a unique open plan bar and purpose built kitchen area. The bar is scheduled for opening during the later part of 2023.
Oak & Prosper have acquired part of the first floor as office accommodation, utilising the vaulted ceiling to provide an inspiring work and meeting space. Elsewhere on the first floor, the existing residential unit has been refurbished to a high standard, providing a 2 bedroom apartment, with large open plan living and en-suite facilities.
The external courtyard area is to be enhanced through the renovation of the bar area and will provide on-site parking for the benefit of the apartment.
